Vistaril(hydroxyzinepamoate) andXanax(阿普唑仑) are used to treatanxiety.

Vistaril (hydroxyzine pamoate) is an antihistamine with anticholinergic (drying) and sedative properties used as a sedative to treat anxiety andtension. Vistaril is also used together with other medications given for anesthesia. Vistaril may also be used to control nausea and vomiting, or to treat allergic skin reactions such as hives or contactdermatitis. Vistaril is available ingenericform.

Xanax (alprazolam) is indicated for the management of anxiety disorders and the short-term relief of symptoms of anxiety in adults. Xanax is also indicated for the treatment ofpanic disorderin adults with or without a fear of places and situations that might cause panic, helplessness, or embarrassment (agoraphobia).

Vistaril may interact with other medicines that make you sleepy (such as cold orallergymedicine, sedatives,narcoticpainmedicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures,depression, or anxiety).

Xanax may interact with cold or allergy medicine, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, medicine for depression or anxiety, antibiotics,antifungalmedicines,antidepressants, andbarbiturates. Xanax may also interact withbirth controlpills,cimetidine,cyclosporine,dexamethasone, ergotamine, imatinib,isoniazid, St. John's wort,heartorblood pressuremedications,HIV/AIDS药物,seizuremedications.

Do not stop using Xanax without first talking to your doctor, even if you feel fine. You may have increased seizures or unpleasantwithdrawal symptomsif you stop using Xanax suddenly.

The recommended dose of Vistaril for treating itch (pruritus) is 25mg, 3 or 4 times daily. For sedation, the recommended dose is 50 to 100 mg. The dose to treat anxiety and tension is 50 to 100 mg 4 times daily. Vistaril may interact with other medicines that make you sleepy (such as cold or allergy medicine, sedatives, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures, depression, or anxiety). Tell your doctor allprescriptionandover-the-countermedications and supplements you use. Vistaril is not recommended for use duringpregnancy. It could harm thefetus. Discuss birth control with your doctor. It is unknown if this medication passes intobreast milkor if it could harm anursingbaby. Consult your doctor beforebreastfeeding.

Take Xanax exactly as your healthcare provider tells you to take it. Your healthcare provider will tell you how much Xanax to take and when to take it. If you take too much Xanax, call your healthcare provider or go to the nearesthospitalemergency room right away.

Xanax is a benzodiazepine medicine. Taking benzodiazepines withopioidmedicines,alcohol, or othercentral nervous systemdepressants (including street drugs) can cause severe drowsiness,breathingproblems (respiratory depression),comaanddeath.

Xanax can make you sleepy or dizzy, and can slow your thinking andmotorskills.

Do not drive, operate heavy machinery, or do other dangerous activities until you know how Xanax affects you.

Do not drink alcohol or take other drugs that may make you sleepy or dizzy while taking Xanax without first talking to your healthcare provider. When taken with alcohol or drugs that cause sleepiness or dizziness, Xanax may make your sleepiness or dizziness much worse.

Do not take more Xanax than prescribed.
