Prometrium (progesterone) is aprogestin, a female hormone, prescribed for the prevention of endometrialhyperplasiain nonhysterectomized postmenopausal women receiving conjugated estrogens tablets and also for secondaryamenorrhea. Prometrium is available as ageneric drug.
