Lasix(furosemide) andBumex(bumetanide) are loopdiuretics(waterpills) used to treat excessive fluid accumulation (水肿) caused bycongestive heart failure,liver failure,renalfailure, and nephriticsyndrome. Lasix and Bumex may be used withantihypertensivedrugs tocontrolhigh blood pressure(hypertension).

Lasix (furosemide) is an anthranilic acid derivative that is used as a strongdiureticin adults and children to treat excessive fluid accumulation (edema) caused by congestiveheart failure,liverfailure, renal failure, and nephritic syndrome. Lasix may be used with antihypertensive drugs to control highblood pressure(hypertension).

Bumex (bumetanide) is a loop diuretic (waterpill) that prevents the body from absorbing too muchsalt, allowing the salt to instead be passed in the urine, used to treat fluid retention (edema) in people with highbloodpressure, congestiveheartfailure,liver disease, or akidneydisorder such as nephrotic syndrome.

Lasix may interact withlithium或steroids.

Lasix may also interact withsucralfate,cisplatin,cyclosporine, ethacrynic acid,methotrexate,苯妥英, antibiotics, heart or blood pressure medications, laxatives, or salicylates such asaspirin.

Bumex may interact with lithium, antibiotics, or blood pressure medications.

Bumex may also interact with medicines to treat aboweldisorder, medications to prevent或gantransplantrejection,antiviralmedications,chemotherapy, pain orarthritismedicines,digoxin, probenecid, nonsteroidalanti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or other diuretics.

Lasix is available intablet(20 to 80mg) and IV forms. Dosage is determined by thepatient'sphysicianand varies according to how much fluid and how fast the fluid should be removed. Patients with poor renal function usually require higher doses; doses in children are weight-based. Lasix may interact with sucralfate, cisplatin, cyclosporine, ethacrynic acid, lithium, methotrexate, phenytoin, antibiotics, heart or blood pressure medications, laxatives, salicylates such as aspirin, or steroids. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. Tell your doctor if you arepregnant或plan to become pregnant while using Lasix; it is unknown if it will harm afetus. Lasix passes intobreast milkand may harm anursingbaby. Lasix may also slowbreastmilk production. Consult your doctor beforebreastfeeding.

The usual daily dosage of Bumex is 0.5 mg to 2 mg and in most patients is given as a single dose. Products that may interact with this drug include indomethacin, lithium, probenecid, and other drugs that canaffectyour hearing (including aminoglycoside antibiotics such asgentamicin,tobramycin). If you havediabetes, Bumex may affect yourblood sugarlevel. Bumex may also reduce the potassium level in your blood. Duringpregnancy, this drug should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
