Cymbalta(duloxetine) andViibryd(vilazodone hydrochloride) areantidepressantsused for treating depression.

Cymbalta is also used to treatanxiety disorder, and pain associated with diabeticperipheral neuropathyorfibromyalgia.

Common side effects of Cymbalta include:

• nausea,
• dry mouth,
• constipation,
• diarrhea,
• fatigue,
• tired feeling,
• drowsiness,
• difficulty sleeping,
• loss of appetite, and
• dizziness.

Common side effects of Viibryd include:

• diarrhea,
• nausea,
• vomiting, and
• sleep problems (insomnia).

Contact your doctor if you have serious side effects of Viibryd including:

• easy bruising,
• unusual bleeding (nose, mouth,vagina, orrectum),
• blood in your urine or stools,
• purple or red pinpoint spots under your skin,
• agitation,
• hallucinations,
• fever,
• loss of coordination,
• fainting,
• overactive reflexes,
• very stiff (rigid) muscles,
• sweating,
• confusion,
• fast or uneven heartbeats,
• tremors,
• lightheadedness,
• racing thoughts,
• risk-taking behavior,
• decreased inhibitions,
• feelings of extreme happiness or sadness,
• extreme thirst with headache,
• weakness,
• trouble concentrating,
• memory problems,
• confusion,
• seizures (convulsions), or
• shallow breathing.

Cymbalta is a prescription medicine used to treat a certain type of depression called Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). Cymbalta belongs to a class of medicines known as SNRIs (orserotonin-去甲肾上腺素reuptakeinhibitors).

Cymbalta is also used to treat or manage:

• Generalized Anxiety Disorder(GAD)
• Diabetic PeripheralNeuropathic Pain(DPNP)
• Fibromyalgia (FM)

Viibryd is a prescription medicine used to treat a certain type of depression called Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). It is important to talk with your healthcare provider about the risks of treating depression and also the risk of not treating it. You should discuss all treatment choices with your healthcare provider. Talk to your healthcare provider if you do not think that your condition is getting better with Viibryd treatment.

It is not known if Viibryd is safe and effective in children.

Do Not take Cymbalta if you:

• take a Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor (MAOI). Ask your healthcare provider or pharmacist if you are not sure if you take anMAOI, including theantibioticlinezolidor intravenousmethylene blue.
• Do not take an MAOI within 5 days of stopping Cymbalta unless directed to do so by your healthcare provider.
• Do not start Cymbalta if you stopped taking an MAOI in the last 14 days unless directed to do so by your healthcare provider.

Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines that you take,including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Cymbalta and some medicines may interact with each other, may not work as well, or may cause serious side effects.

Especially tell your healthcare provider if you take:

• triptans used to treatmigraine headache
• medicines used to treat mood, anxiety, psychotic or thought disorders, including tricyclics,lithium, buspirone, SSRIs, SNRIs or MAOIs
• tramadoland fentanyl
• amphetamines
• cimetidine
• the antibioticsciprofloxacin, enoxacin
• medicine to treat irregular heart rate (likepropafenone,flecainide, quinidine)
• theophylline
• the blood thinnerwarfarin(Coumadin,Jantoven)
• 非甾体抗炎药(NSAID) (likeibuprofen,naproxenoraspirin)。
• over-the-counter supplements such astryptophanor St. John's Wort

Do not take Cymbalta with any other medicine that contain duloxetine.

Especially tell your healthcare provider if you take:

• triptans used to treatmigraineheadache
• medicines used to treat mood, anxiety, psychotic or thought disorders, including tricyclics, lithium, SSRIs, SNRIs, buspirone, amphetamines, or antipsychotics
• tramadol
• over-the-counter supplements such as tryptophan or St. John's Wort
• nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS)
• aspirin
• warfarin (Coumadin, Jantoven)
• mephenytoin (Mesantoin)
• diuretics

Your healthcare provider or pharmacist can tell you if it is safe to take Viibryd with your other medicines. Do not start or stop any medicine while taking Viibryd without talking to your healthcare provider first.

Take Cymbalta exactly as your healthcare provider tells you to take it. Your healthcare provider may need to change the dose of Cymbalta until it is the right dose for you.

Swallow Cymbalta whole. Do not chew or crush Cymbalta.

Do not open the capsule and sprinkle on food or mix with liquids. Opening the capsule may affect how well Cymbalta works.

Cymbalta may be taken with or without food.

If you miss a dose of Cymbalta, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the regular time. Do not take two doses of Cymbalta at the same time.

If you take too much Cymbalta, call your healthcare provider or poison control center at 1-800-222-1222 right away, or get emergency treatment.

When switching from anotherantidepressantto Cymbalta your healthcare provider

Take Viibryd exactly as prescribed. Your healthcare provider may need to change the dose of Viibryd until it is the right dose for you.

• Take Viibryd with food. Viibryd may not work as well if you take it on an empty stomach.
• If you miss a dose of Viibryd, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the regular time. Do not take two doses of Viibryd at the same time.
• If you take too much Viibryd, call your healthcare provider or poison control center at 1-800-222-1222 right away, or get emergency treatment.
