Definition of Aortic

Aortic:Pertaining to theaorta, the largest artery in the body.

"Aortic" is in common usage as, for example, in anabdominal aortic aneurysm. The term "aortal" has the same meaning but is rarely encountered (except in The New York Times crossword).
